Get national recognition and earn money for your school! This voluntary certification initiative recognizes schools that have created healthier school environments through promotion of nutrition and physical activity.

Healthy Schools Program

Alliance for a Healthier Generation.

Earn a Healthy Schools Program National Recognition Award by creating healthier school environments in seven wellness categories that address school health improvement.

Fuel Up to Play 60

NDC. NFL. United States Department of Agriculture.

This in-school nutrition and physical education program empowers students to create and implement activities that reward them for making healthy choices, and inspire change in their school. There are a variety of tools and resources, including school activation kits and “play books” for enhancing the school health environment. Students can win prizes for choosing good-for-you foods and getting active for at least 60 minutes every day.

Green Ribbon Schools

This recognition award honors schools and districts that are exemplary in reducing environment impact and costs, improving the health and wellness of students and staff, and providing effective environmental and sustainability education.


National Wildlife Federation.
