This letter is sent out annually after each release of the CND Database and includes important information about changes to the software evaluation and approval process.
- List of Approved Nutrient Analysis Software
This list includes the nutrient analysis software currently approved by USDA for use in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. The list of approved software is updated annually and when new software is approved.

Software developers who submit new software for evaluation and approval must complete and submit this form with the software. Developers of currently approved software may use this checklist to test their approved software to ensure that the software continues to meet the basic requirements and specifications.
- Child Nutrition Database - Here you will find the Child Nutrition Database and its documentation. This database must be included in all nutrient analysis software approved by USDA for use in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.
